BombTag is a fun fast paced Bomberman-style top-down bomb combat game that features fast paced arcade gameplay, lots of character customization options and online multiplayer gameplay for up to six players.
BombTag is a free to play online-multiplayer game inspired by Bomberman. Like the classic game, BombTag features fast-paced and chaotic gameplay, with most rounds lasting just a few minutes. Apr 19, 2018 Gameplay. BombTag, as the game title indicates, is a game that focuses on having players bombing each other in a grid-based arena. 8 players will have to eliminate each other by successfully bombing them with the bombs that drop in the field.
Much like in traditional Bomberman games, In BombTag players do battle in various arenas, littered with crates that can be blown up to allow access to other players and occasionally drop a power-ups (such as speed increases, extra bombs and larger bomb blasts). The aim is to blow up all the other players and be the last bomber standing (Bomberman was the original Battle Royale combat game!)
There have been lots of attempts by Hudson Soft to make Bomberman relevant again since its heyday in the 80’s, but they always feel a little gimmicky and lacklustre. BombTag looks set to address this with its more focused take on the classic Bomberman formula. It has fast paced competitive play that does away with the clutter that has plagued modern Bomberman games and focuses on what’s important – dropping bombs and blowing the crap out of your opponents.
