Apr 28, 2014 Ship Simulator Extremes General Discussions Topic Details. Apr 28, 2014 @ 4:56pm cant change graphics settings. I just bought it cuz it was on sale and now im getting disappointed. It wont allow me to save the resolution setting and restart it to apply it. But it wont work at all.any thoughts? Ok so downloaded two days ago and so far has not worked, when first started the game crashed as described below, now before anyone asks i have the documents file, i have verified and i have reinstalled. Still get the same crash at start up, starts initialising then little box goes white and an error message pops up reading: application crashed, crash dump saved at C:Users(username)DocumentsShipSimExtremes UserdataLogFiles. Then quest30 viewer crashes. And thats it, what a (insert explicit remark here) fun game.im not one to troll in fact i dislike trolls and i am sorry if this rubs anyone the wrong way BUT what is the deal here? We (the customer!!!!) want customer support. Where is it????? For two days i have monitoring the forum and what have i seen from this company in the way of support????
However, not all of them are bad though. Tales of hearts r english.
This is the kind of thing that can stop people from buying a game from them again. I know i will certainly be thinking twice in the future.
Anyway enough of that. Has any one encountered this and solved it??

And I just do a lot try-and-error from microsoft download. It's very difficult to find the 'latest' version VC2005 dist on the Microsoft website. At least this solution is work for me.The main problem is the VC dist come with the Steam package is the old version (8.0.59193) but the program is require the new version (8.0.61001). Maybe it changed with version update, but I guess Steam never update their install bundle.I'll reply to the Steam support with what I found. The reply from Steam Support is just look like copy-and-paste answer. I almost want to ask him is he used to be a player like me before he took a arrow in the knee.Try this solution, some said it worked.
Others said just manually installing the vcredist, DirectX and nVidia Phisyx solved the issue (these can be found in the game's directory, e.g. C:SteamSteamAppscommonShip simulator extremesResourcesredist). In my case, neither these helped:-( so I'd be grateful for any other possible solution. Hi.This sim is a compleat pain. Steam's Demo worked great.I get the compleat set off Steam install it and bingo nothing works.Vstep loading starts ok gets to the initial stage and it crash's saying View Quest is not working it may not be installed on my PC or it's in the wrong directory??Dispite all my efforts and work to solve the problem viewing the instalation directory and overall install all folders and.exe's are present in the corect place's/I have compleatly read all help files and comment's from other crews but still no joy.Only thing I can think of is that, i'm running 64bit not 32. But the Demo worked?Any other help please!!!
