Halo Wars 2 Guide to help you learn everything you need to know about the game’s combat, game modes, and different strategies to win. There is a lot to take in when it comes to Halo Wars 2.

It's kind of contentious. Here's what I think:1. Forge- Kodiak drop, rolling eco, and Forgehog are all oppressively good.2. Arby- CoR and Phantoms are unbeatable late game.3.

Pavium- Can turtle infinitely against most leaders.4. Anders- Quick and cheap upgrades and a great ultimate unit makes her pretty good.5. Isabel- Fast tech into hogs with accelerated assembly shuts down everyone below her on this list.6. Serina- Freezing is annoying if not borderline OP, frostravens are slept on.7. Voridus- Late game is goo-tastic and an utter mess; hero's Y ability is ridiculous.8.

Decimus- Choppers are strong enough to kill hogs with his passives; Decimus drop is broken.9. Jerome- Mastodons with Cyclops counters hogs well, and Omega Team counters Forge's Grizzly Battalion perfectly.10.

Johnson- Early game is terrible, but Mantises are great units combined with Mech Overcharge and EMP Mac.11. Cutter- Great infantry, but he's become irrelevant in the fast tech meta.12.

Kinsano- Redline is good for hornets, but air is particularly weak right now.13. Atriox- Fortifications is nearly worthless, and his late game is underwhelming with Pavium being so good.14. Shipmaster- Cloaking is gimmicky and teleporting isn't unique to him, but he's got an underrated hero.15. Colony- Virtually one predictable option for early game (Goliaths), but has an okay mid to late game due to Colony Drop.16. YapYap- No answer for Flamers, and won't make it past early game against a good UNSC. Wrote:It's kind of contentious.

Here's what I think:1. I find it interesting how I either hear above how OP Voridus and Pavium are, yet people seem to also say the banished aren't very good in general. It does seem like all the best players are saying Forge, Arby, and Anders though. What is particular makes Pavium good? Voridus looks pretty crazy just based off his leader abilities, so I can understand him. Also, what do you think will get nerfed in the future? I am wanted to avoid playing things that are just going to get nerfed eventually. Wrote:It's kind of contentious.

I had a game last night that went on for over 4 hours against a Pavium, 5 bases to 1, and there was no possible way I could break him. UNSC is mostly good because of how OP hogs are currently, but Pavium and Arby make up for it with broken leader powers, and in Arby's case, an alternative (phantoms). When fully upgraded, Ultra Mines will wipe half a pop of 120. The same goes for Rain of Fire except even more so. Most people agree that Pavium is more broken than his brother, or as I call him, 'Goo Boi.' Hogs will probably cost more pop as well as have a longer build time. Pavium's abilities will be nerfed in regards to cost, cooldown, and damage I'd assume.

The Forgehog's defense aura will most likely see a nerf as well. Arby's CoR will see a nerf as well.

Did the devs confirm any of those nerfs, or atleast comment on them? With those nerfs in mind, I am thinking about maybe going for Serina. I was an Anders main in HW1, and she looks like Anders on steroids with all those cryo bombs.

Halo wars 2 dlc

I have a few questions though. How good are Serina's special units, the Snow-flamerthrowers and the Snowmobile thing? Does freezing air units still mean that they insta-killed?Also, how do Spartan's work? Can anyone build them? If Halo Wars 1 taught me anything, it's that 3 Spartan Tanks, micro'd well enough, will kill anything. Wrote:It's kind of contentious. Here's what I think:1.

If Halo Wars 1 taught me anything, it's that 3 Spartan Tanks, micro'd well enough, will kill anything. No confirmation of nerfs, just guesses. If they don't fix the things I mentioned, there will surely be a riot (one I'll be taking part in).Serina is a mixed bag.

While her Cryotroopers are above average anti-infantry, there's no point in building them due to the vehicle meta. Her Hero is also great, but quite immobile, so most of the time it's best to delay getting it out.

Frozen air units don't instantly die like they did in HW 1. Once frozen, you can use Seismic Blast on them to do a lot of damage.

Frostravens also have a Y ability which has the same effect against frozen units. Still, I consider Anders a better choice than Serina currently.Only Cutter, Anders, Isabel, and Jerome can build Spartans as Heroes.

Jerome's Spartan is special, as he can call down a command mantis and has better range than the other three. I think he's still outclassed by the other three though.

The sheer amount of HP they have is startling, and their ability to hi-jack and stun units is a game changer. I am wanted to avoid playing things that are just going to get nerfed eventually.Your Leader Tier List will change from 1v1,2v2,3v3 so I'll leave that for the rest of the community to answers. If you're interested in what is to come with potential Nerfs/Buffs i suggest you check out the Op post inAnd if you're interested in raw unit stats check out.

Pavium sets up a mining facility, eventually able to dig into the crystals beneath the surface and start the reaction necessary - however, the Flood senses this threat, and begins sending much against Banished forces. Pavium and Voridus begin a centralised effort to fight back against the infection, but soon find their path blocked by a massive tentacle. Pavium commissions a to deal with the threat, but soon realises that the tentacle is but one extension of a gargantuan - if allowed to finish growing, the Flood would be unstoppable. Thanks to coordination by artillery, orbital support and ground troops, the Proto-Gravemind is killed in time for Atriox to arrive and inspect the scene himself. Once again, he scolds the two brothers before ordering them to secure the breach.
